2000 Ford Excursion 7.3 turbo diesel Limited, 2WD for sale. 177,340 miles. Non smoking family. Selling only due to not being 4x4 which is needed for winter conditions in Colorado. It was sold brand new in Brownsville, TX and sold to it's second owner in Arkansas. I am the third owner. At time of purchase, I replaced and upgraded the whole front end: the pitman arm, gear box, front chasis, tie rods, shocks, front and rear, upper and lower ball joints, rubber housings on steering and bushings. K & N cool air intake, a stainless oil crossover tube, a boost fooler, and a TS6 position chip. Newly installed HID headlight bulbs and front mounted LED bar light. I added a touch screen radio with back up camera and a Prestige alarm system. Two custom switches operate the LED bar and duel accessory LED fog lights: LED fog lights have stopped working and need new lights installed. Telescoping mirrors have been upgraded to be able to fold in. On the second row, (see pictures) I installed two sets, four total stainless steel U bolts so we could safely secure car seats. They are removable. Seats will not fold down flat if U bolts remain in place. Once removed, seats are fully foldable. Since purchase, the turbo has a small oil leak. I add half a quart between oil changes without issue. I recently added a new starter and did a whole new rebuild on the fuel bowl with new O rings. Oil changes are done every 3,500 - 3,700 miles. Synthetic oil only. Fuel filters are replaced every other oil change. The transmission has just been flushed about 10,000 miles ago. Front brakes have been bled and two pressure lines were replaced on each side of the front end. This vehicle has "play" in the steering wheel. I use diesel additives to clean out the injectors and oil. Tires are two years old and are good for another fifteen to twenty thousand miles. Spare tire is in great shape. AC and heater runs great with no problems. Comes equipped with towing package in the rear. Rear bumper was hit in a parking lot which left a small dent but is practically unnoticeable after being repaired. There is a ding on the passenger side door and the drivers and passenger seat stitching has come undone in one place on each seat. The middle row drivers side seat has a small tear in the leather and is evident that someone tried to repair it. New hood and paint job due to hail damage. I used seat covers to protect the leather.
